Adaptive Fitness Therapy Program - Foothills College CA

Foothill College offers both a Certificate of Completion and  Associate
of Arts in Adaptive Fitness Therapy.  One component of the program
is Aquatics. 

The Introduction to Aquatics class prepares the  student to take the AEA exam, the other Aquatic courses include Adaptive Aquatics and a supervised internship. These course are generally accepted for continuing education credits by most professional organizations including AEA.

Effective 2010, the program can be attended remotely via an on- line venue.  
 


The other classes included in the Adaptive Fitness Therapy Program  include:

  • Principles of Therapeutic Exercise
  • Functional Aspects of  Exercise
  • Geriatric Fitness
     

The cost is  only $13 unit and a student can enter the program at any  time.

Foothill College is located in the San  Francisco Bay Area and the classes
are offered one Saturday per month.
